Tom Sutherland Award For Volunteer Achievement

The Tom Sutherland Award for Volunteer Achievement honours and recognizes a registrant of the AAA for their extraordinary service to and leadership within the architectural and/or design community – qualities personified by the late Tom Sutherland.

A well-renowned architect, long-time AAA member and Firm Managing Principal at Dialog Design, Tom died in a tragic ski accident on April 2, 2015 while on vacation in BC with his wife, Sandi, and their four children. Tom's Family accepted the inaugural award on his behalf in the spring of 2017.
