From its inception in 1989, Teeple Architects Inc. has built a reputation for innovative design and exceptional service. The firm has become known for designing projects of exceptional material and spatial quality, with a strong conceptual basis derived from the specific needs and aspirations of each client.
The goal of Teeple Architects is to create innovative design projects in which the architectural concept is intimately linked to the day-to-day use and inhabitation of the building. An ability to respond creatively to the dictates of the site, context, budget and client requirements has characterized the work of the office. In this era of specialization, the firm believes in the continuing value of the general architectural practice and to this end, has pursued work in the commercial, institutional and residential fields, ranging in scope from broad planning, major institutional projects, urban design studies to highly detailed interiors.
Stephen Teeple, Principal of the firm, has over twenty years experience in all aspects of architectural practice, on a diverse array of residential, commercial, recreational and institutional projects. He provides personalized attention to each project executed from the firm.

Mario Saia is partner of the Montreal firm Saia Barbarese Topouzanov architectes, which he co-founded in 1968. Under his direction, the firm has won numerous prestigious awards and citations, including two Governor General of Canada’s Medals, respectively for the Benny Farm Housing Complex (Phase II and III) and the Little Burgundy Sports Centre. Principal concept architect, Mr. Saia is responsible for all masterplans, development plans, and design propositions of the firm. An experienced practitioner.
Mr. Saia is equally well-known as a teacher, studio director, associate professor at both McGill University and Université de Montréal, and as lecturer, invited critic and jury member.
Additionally, he was a member of the Comité consultatif de Montréal sur la Protection des Biens culturels (1989 to 2004). Since 2004, he is member of the Urbanism and Architecture Committee for the City of Montréal.

Tim Antoniuk was born in Edmonton, Canada in 1967. He studied business at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and Sculpture and Industrial Design at the University of Alberta. In 1986 he formed Whirlwind Sails, a windsurf sail design and manufacturing company; in 1992 he co-founded The Hothouse Group of companies - a furniture design, retail and manufacturing company that sold its own line of products to over 750 international companies. Over the past decade Tim’s design collaborations have won awards such as, The Apple/National Post Design Effectiveness Award, an award in the furniture category of the Annual ID Design Competition, and more recently, a major review of Hothouse’s work was highlighted in, “Habitat – Canadian Design Now”. Today.
Tim is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial Design Program at the University of Alberta; he is a regular presenter at international design conferences on a new body of research that he has initiated on “morphing” products and interior environments; he teaches classes in contemporary furniture, sustainable design, and industrial design methodologies. He is the Vice Chair of the Alberta Chapter of IDSA and is the owner and Design Director of ANT I.D. Inc. (specializing in contemporary lighting, furniture, products and interior design projects).
His projects have recently been featured in Elle Décor (France), Azure, Surface, and the Core 77 and Design Boom web sites.
