Complaints

Members of the Alberta Association of Architects are expected to maintain the professional practice standards established by the Architects Act, General Regulation, and Code of Ethics.

The legislative requirements are in place to ensure that members of the public can confidently retain the services of a registered professional knowing that our Members are subject to established standards of conduct, and that there are consequences to the professional for failing to meet these standards.

The complaint review process consists of four steps:

Step 1: Receipt of the Complaint
Step 2: Initial Review by the Chair of the Complaint Review Committee
Step 3: The Hearing
Step 4: Appeals
